Project management for Lenovo, Legnica

Since August 2007 Jones Lang LaSalle has been performing role of an Employer’s Representative for Lenovo at their green field development of the 34,000 sqm production facility (1’200 employees) including 3’500 sqm of an office and supporting areas. The project is currently under development. The completion is scheduled on December 2008.

Clarification of the design brief, developing of the technical specification for developer RFP, pre-selection and contract award procedure, Lease contract negotiation and agreeing final technical specification, value engineering, application of LEED solutions and integration of information flow coming from the several technical teams located in U.S., Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, Advice in permitting and liaising with local authorities, Change order process management, application of design requirements and works coordination of the Client’s direct vendors with the works on site.

The technical requirements of a new type of production facility were developed and agreed within 3 weeks together.Final specification clarification and lease agreement negotiation completed with 8 weeks after signing of LOI. Production to be started 12 months after signature of the lease agreement – including public land purchase procedure, designing, permitting, construction, production lines installation and commissioning and staff training.
