The Russian footwear and accessories producer has announced the opening of 30 stores in selected shopping centers and galleries in 2012
Warsaw, 8th of February 2012 – Kari, the Russian footwear and accessories producer, and Jones Lang LaSalle are pleased to announce they have concluded an agreement on co-operation. Jones Lang LaSalle is advising Kari on its strategy for gaining optimal retail spaces and at the same time developing the brand’s expansion strategy for the Polish market.
Currently, the company is negotiating the terms of retail space lease agreements in selected locations, in cities above 50,000 inhabitants, and has announced its first store openings for May and June of this year. Several more shops will be offering the Autumn collection. Kari will open units in shopping centers and galleries as well as on high streets. The footwear and accessories will be displayed in stores with a floor-plan of 200 to 300 sq m.
Dagmara Filipiak, a Senior Consultant in the Tenant Representation Retail Agency at Jones Lang LaSalle, comments “We are happy to advise another new brand on its expansion into the Polish market. We note that owners of shopping galleries display significant interest in new players on our market. An attractive tenant mix, which helps to differentiate shopping centers from their competitors, is greatly valued by landlords.”
The company plans to open approximately 150 shops within three years. “Currently we are negotiating with management boards and owners of the majority of the shopping galleries in Poland. The first lease agreements will be concluded in February, later we will start fit-out works and the first openings will take place in May,” says Krzysztof Barański Real Estate Director, Kari Poland Sp. z o.o.
According to the company’s plans, the brand will be simultaneously developed in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
