Warsaw, 2 August 2013 – On August 1st, the 4th Charity Real Estate Beach Volleyball Tournament took place, organized by consulting company Jones Lang LaSalle in the La Playa Music Bar in Warsaw. The event was attended by almost 700 real estate professionals and members of their families with a record PLN 157,000 being raised – 50% more comparing to the result in 2012. The success of the event also illustrates the importance that real estate companies attach to CSR initiatives.
At the tournament, 175 players (25 teams) represented major real estate companies, including Blackstone, BNP Paribas Real Estate, CBRE, Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield, Deloitte, DTZ, ECE Polska, ECI Group, Ghelamco, Grupa Capital Park, Hochtief Development Poland, Jones Lang LaSalle, Knight Frank, Neinver, MGPA, MLP Group, Panattoni Europe, Portico Investments, Prologis, Savills, SEGRO, Skanska, TriGranit / Valad and Warbud.
After a head-to-head competition Warbud proved to be the winner, followed by Jones Lang LaSalle and MLP Group who also took their place on the podium.The industry representatives gathered for a good cause – to raise money for the Our Children Foundation affiliated with the Oncology Clinic in the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw and finance the purchase of specialised medical equipment and healthcare materials. After the tournament, Tomasz Trzósło (Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle in Poland) handed the cheque over to Ewa Gorzelak – Dziduch (Chairman of the Foundation) and prof. Bożenna Dembowska-Bagińska (Vice Chief of the Oncology Clinic in the Children’s Memorial Health Institute)
