Mateusz Polkowski
Mateusz Polkowski acts as Head of Research and Consulting CEE in real estate advisory company JLL. He has strategic experience in office market consultancy.
“People - this is the aspect of working at JLL that I value the most”.
"JLL is an international corporation, but it definitely has a human face. In contrast to many other large organizations, we focus on cooperation and close working relations."
Mateusz joined JLL in 2007 as a Senior Analyst. Prior to joining JLL, he was responsible for market research and leasing at the Platan Group development company. It was there that he had the opportunity to cooperate with the JLL team for the first time.
"Our cooperation has been great since the very beginning. I met some interesting and very professional people and I quickly came to the conclusion that JLL should be the next step in my development. Immediately after I joined the company. Anna Bartoszewicz-Wnuk took me under her wing. She was my mentor and gave my career direction. But even before that, I was very fortunate with bosses, as with my previous company, I also had two very good managers. "
In 2016, Mateusz's career gained even more impetus. Anna Bartoszewicz-Wnuk started to establish a new department responsible for the advisory on workplace strategy. She stepped down from her previous position of head of research and consultancy and recommended Mateusz to take over.
"The research and consulting department is one of the most diverse business areas in our company. We work on new projects and reports, and advise investors representing various sectors. The most important thing is that we can see the results of our work - which really motivates us. We feel we have an impact on the shaping of the real estate market in Poland as well as the development of the country's cities. "
The department managed by Mateusz comprises seven analysts with a great deal of expertise in the areas of office, commercial and warehouse real estate.
"We are a close-knit team with a continuous urge to deepen our knowledge and seek inspiration for new projects. With this in mind, for the last two years we have been organizing research trips to European metropolises, to broaden horizons, learn about interesting projects and solutions, draw inspiration from them and implement the best ideas in the Polish market. It cements our relations and helps to make our work even more effective. "
