Atrium completes sale of Polish convenience retail portfolio

JLL advised the vendor on one of the year’s largest retail investment transactions in the convenience sector.

Atrium European Real Estate Limited, the leading landlord, property manager and developer of shopping centres in Central Europe, has completed the sales process of Atrium Gama in Radom, Atrium Siemianowice, Atrium Świętochłowice, Atrium Olkusz and Media Markt in Gdynia to Metropol Group. The value of the transaction remains confidential. JLL’s Retail Investment Team, led by Agnieszka Kołat, advised the vendor in this transaction.

Each of the subject assets fulfils everyday shopping needs of the residents of their respective catchment areas and has a long trading history beginning in the years 2000-2002 (except Media Markt that opened in 2012). The assets offer between 5,000 to 15,000 sqm of retail space, bringing the total GLA of the portfolio to 44,800 sqm leased to ca. 100 tenants, including well known and reputable tenants such as Biedronka, Black Red White, Bricomarche, Carrefour Express, CCC, Euro RTV AGD, Jysk, Media Expert, Media Markt, OBI and Tesco, among others.
