The purpose of this bulletin is to provide an update on the Living sectors (Student Housing, Multifamily, Healthcare and Coliving), as well as highlighting the potential implications of the situation going forward.

The Q2 edition refers to the first quarter of 2020 data when governments, business and communities faced Covid-19 pandemic challenges. As the findings show, Living sectors have maintained their defensive position as stable operating cash flows continued during the pandemic. However, despite being driven by many of the same demand characteristics, there are obvious nuances that ensure that the impacts from Covid-19 are likely to be felt differently across the Living spectrum.

JLL will continue to monitor the chronology of the crisis and use our global reach to identify market insights from the Covid-19 battlegrounds all over the world.
